If there is one thing I’ve learned from friendster, myspace, facebook, and the 8 billion blogs out there is that most people like attention & fame. They also like nicknames. Combine that with my passion for supporting local business/services/and music and you get fun with local celebrities! And here’s the twist–you don’t even have to be somebody–you just have to be in my sights.
Think about it. How often do you see the same random dude walking around your neighborhood? How many times have you seen the same hot chick at the club? Why can’t you escape that dude at the grocery store? What’s up with Craig Pfunder’s hair? Who does he think he is? Joan Jett?
Yes. And that my friend, is why I call him Joan Jett. And now, so does everyone else I know.

1) I love the fact that when I played pool with Joan Jett at the now defunct Red Lounge all those years ago I had absolutely no idea that he was a bigshot rocker dude. That was a crazy night on a lot of counts.
2) I know who I’m nominating for a future post. Wait, does skeevemaster1979@hotmail.com count as a local celebrity?
Joan Jett actually seems like a nice dude. I find it really refreshing that he is literally EVERYWHERE I go in this town. And surprise! He’s a moderately successful music maker & DJ. But I’m not really fascinated with his person per say—really it’s his hair.
That was BIG FUN when you were here on that trip. I miss dance off pants off at the Dirty Soul Party @ Red Lounge.
