bomb it!
I’ve been meaning to post a note about this ‘global graffiti documentary’ for a couple weeks now. I liked it. If you like graffiti & the globe then you will like Bomb It! too. Honestly though, props to the filmmakers for committing to such a grand project. And more props for not making a one sided ode to the ‘art.’ They interview the artists, taggers, and members of the community who embrace or are trying to stop the proliferation of graffiti. The documentary deals mostly with wall painting & tags–some wheat pastes and some random street art. I think it’s all in there. I’ve looked at a lot of street art stuff lately. Anyway, it’s worth a view for sure. Just make sure you annunciate the name of this film. I had to ask 3 times before the boys at Wild & Woolly Video realized I was asking for ‘bomb it’ and not ‘vomit.’
Dang, too bad the only place it’s playing in this country is Stamford CT. How in the hell did Stamford get so much street cred, anyway?
